Sierra is our new addition to our family and she is a Boston Terrier who came from Boston Terrier rescue of Canada. She is about 2 years old and learning how to be a great friend to Neela our rescued Boxer and she is also learning how to not chase Tork our cat.We have only had Sierra about one month now, and she is fitting in wonderfully and has been having some really fun adventures and we would like to tell you about them.

Message from Sierra….”Wow… have I been having fun living here… we do lots and lots of stuff. We go for long walks for an hour every night where we run across fields and along paths with lots of trees and fun things to smell…. sometime I find really great things to roll in…. then I usually get baths… I dont like the smell of the baths… I dont know why they dont like those great smells… but the baths dont hurt, I stand very still because the smell I put on myself is all up under my cheeks and close to my nose where I can get the most smell out if it… its great smells…. I just dont know why they dont agree….and then I get wrapped in a towel and carried around like a baby and get to cuddle for an hour which is really nice.

I get cookies every day at noon and there is a doggie door and I get to run outside whenever I want and hide all of the toys I have… cookies too. I have 4 cushy beds all over the house and tons of toys !! I have lots and lots of toys and they are all mine !! Neela used to have some but she gave them to me !! yay !! they are all mine…mine mine mine… everything is mine !! its so fun here !!

Guess what !! There is a lady who lives next door and she has 3 cats and they have a cat door… If I hold my breath and squeeze myself… I fit in through the cat door and the lady there gives me a cookie every time I go to her house… I like to hang out there when the mommy and daddy go to town without me and Neela.

I would like to be friends with her 3 cats and teach them to play, but they just sit and stare at me, so I dont. Neelas cat Tork runs and plays though. I like to catch her when she isn’t expecting it and then jump at her and she runs and I chase her…. its sooo much fun.

She stays away for a long time after that though… She hides from me. Mommy says it is not fun for Tork and I shouldn’t do that… but I really like her though and she runs really fast and its really fun… but I have been trying to control myself cause mommy says it hurts Torks feelings when I do that and she wants us to become friends, and for Tork to be able to relax around me and not be afraid. I don’t mean to make her afraid, I just want to play with her… she has really long fuzzy hair and she looks like the funnest stuffy toy to me… I’d love to rub my nose in her fur.

They bought me a life jacket because we were going somewhere. I dont really like it because it is stiff and it makes me fall over when I turn too fast. Then we went to a river and I showed them that I know how to swim.  They thought that was the best thing ever… I only swim to get sticks though.. its the sticks I want.  Swimming is not my favorite thing, but I do it when I need too… it feels good… plus I really wanted to impress everyone with my talents !!

We went to a big boat… Neela went too… she was very afraid but I was very brave… everyone thinks I am cute. I love going places because they all love me. I know I am very cute because everyone tells me so and so it must be true !!

We went on a big boat and everyone thought we were so well behaved… I dont know why …we were just sitting with the daddy watching the water.

It was really nice and one man asked mommy if I could have a sausage and she said yes… but I had to share it with Neela… but tha twas ok I got to smell it while she was eating it…it was all soo much fun !!

Then we got off of the big boat and went in a smaller boat. This boat belonged to my uncle Charlie and auntie Lyn. We went in the cushy cuddie cabin and got to cuddle on the seats together. Then we got to the cabin and Auntie Lyn showed me how to go pee and poop on the back deck of the floathouse… that was kind of strange at first, but I got the hang of it and auntie Lyn made such a fuss about how smart I was and gave me more cookies !!!

Daddy took Neela and I in the little boat to the shore the next day and that was fun… we ran around the shore looking for bear droppings !!

 

Then mommy and auntie Lyn took us for a canoe ride. I wore my life jacket then because we were in a canoe and Neela gets really afraid easy and sometimes tries to jump out of the boat and mommy didnt want her tipping the canoe with all of us in it, and me having to swim back to shore without a life jacket.

Then I saw crabs and they were fun to chase around the deck. I saw prawns too and Neela ate one that was fresh peeled when no one was looking !! We really had fun… it was a fun fun weekend !!
